Tile floor with underfloor heating

It’s possible to directly glue a wooden floor to an existing tile floor with underfloor heating already present in the floor. You do not need to remove the existing floor and the new wooden floor can simply be installed over the existing floor.

EXISTING TILE FLOOR

  • First, degrease the existing 'old' floor with a cleaner then mob the floor with water.
  • Afterwards, roughen the existing tile floor with grain 24, then vacuum clean.
  • Prime the roughened floor with a primer, then glue the wooden floor with a coarser glue comb to adequately fill any height differences.
