Wood Flooring Installation Patterns

Wood flooring installation patterns

Floors can be installed in different ways. Uipkes Wood Flooring specializes in five installation patterns: plank floors, Versailles floors, herringbone floors, chevron floors and end grain pattern floors.

Plank Wood Flooring & Plank Parquet

Plank Flooring

The most common installation pattern of wood flooring is the straight pattern. This is the most widely used and traditional pattern for solid wood flooring and parquet.

The beauty of the straight plank pattern is in the wood drawing, the color finishes  and the great range in widths and lengths of the floorboards.

Wooden floors in herringbone pattern: a classic floor with a modern wink!

Herringbone floors of solid oak or a layered plank are the new version of the classic Herringbone floor due to their big size. Solid wood herringbone floors and herringbone layered planks can really be laid in all areas of the house.

Chevron Flooring

The chevron pattern floor has an authentic look. The floor sections are at an angle of 60º and close to the top, creating a so-called "sergeant stripe".

The effect is a floor that looks something quieter or tighter than a herringbone installation pattern. Chevron floors are also available in many color finishes.

End Grain Wood Flooring and Parquet

End Grain Pattern Wood Flooring

The end grain pattern floors of Uipkes are made of solid wooden blocks that come from the cross cut section of the trunk. The special characteristic of this pattern is that the growth rings are visible in each block.

These floors are so durable and resistant that they are therefore also suitable for heavy industrial uses.
