Straight Pattern Plank Flooring
The plank flooring straight pattern is a modern and timeless installation pattern. It is powerful because of its simplicity and therefore the best known and most widely used installation pattern for both solid hardwood floors and parquet or engineered wood floors.
TRADITIONAL PLANK WOOD FLOORING
Straight pattern wooden floors have been used since human memory. The castles of old were already provided with these floors. This type of wood floor is therefore one of the oldest floor coverings that exist. Engineered floorboards can be combined with underfloor heating and/or floor cooling. For years, Uipkes Wood Flooring has experience in installing and supplying wooden floors, and these floors are available in many dozens of handmade colors. The durable floorboards are manufactured in the Netherlands in every desired length and width. We provide all floors with 5 years warranty within The Netherlands.
SINGLE V-GROOVE WELD
A single V-groove weld is a beveled edge on the long side of the floorboard at an angle of 45 °. This single V-groove weld ensures that floorboards are accentuated to create a 'true' wooden floor. It is also possible to provide wooden planks without a beveled edge. This creates a wood floor that is "smooth" over the entire surface.
MANY VARIATIONS AND APPLICATIONS
Straight pattern wooden floors and underfloor heating go well together. Uipkes Wood Flooring uses a so-called engineered wood floor that is specially manufactured for underfloor heating. This product is called 'Vincent'. Vincent is made in the dimensions you desire. So you can choose a straight pattern plank floor in widths from 8 to 40 cm and lengths can range from 50 to 600 cm long. You can choose floorboards with or without knots, so there is a wide choice when combining all possibilities. In addition, these floors are available in many different types of wood, such as Oak, Hard Maple, Jatoba or American Walnut.
UNDERFLOOR HEATING OR FLOOR COOLING WITH A STRAIGHT PATTERN FLOOR
A traditional plank floor in straight pattern is easy to apply on underfloor heating. We have years of experience with this. We only apply engineered oak wood floors for underfloor heating, because other types of wood are not applicable to underfloor heating. The Rc value of the floor reflects the heat resistance of a floor. The RC value is the entire resistance of the overall floor construction. A floor with a high Rc value has more resistance than a floor with a low Rc value. A high Rc value thus has a longer warm-up time, and the heat stays longer in the floor. Uipkes has been using a thin layered floor called 'Vincent' for many years, which has a low resistance of Rc 0,088.
Plank Flooring Costs?
Do you want to buy a plank floor and know what the costs are? The price of a wooden floor depends on a number of different factors such as the type of wood, solid wood or a layered version, the type of subfloor, the installation pattern, whether or not the wood has knots, a finish with or without skirting boards. and all sorts of other details. View a number of examples of plank floors below and the price per m2 including installation, materials and VAT. Would you like to buy a plank floor based on a sample floor? The layered version of 3 mm in oak is called Floortje and is available in planks up to 22 cm wide. The layered version with a top layer of 4 mm in oak is called Vincent and is available in planks up to 28 cm wide. We call the thickest top layer of 6 mm oak wood Robin.

WOOD PLANKS DIRECTLY GLUED TO THE UNDERFLOOR
An engineered wooden floorboard can be glued directly onto the sand cement floor or, for example, on an existing tile floor. When there is an old existing wooden construction floor, we first put a subfloor on the construction floor to which the boards can be glued directly. Before we install the boards, we always make an extensive preliminary inspection 3/4 weeks before installing the floor. Hereby we check the subfloor composition to check that it contains sufficient tensile strength, we review the moisture rate, discuss the work to be done, and measure all the rooms. Uipkes gives 5 years warranty on its products and services.
FLOORBOARDS IN ALL COLORS, THICKNESSES AND WIDTHS
The boards are made of different wood species, such as Jatoba or oak wood. Oak wood has many beautiful features. It's durable, timeless, hard, has beautiful organic drawings and is easy to process. Uipkes has spent a lot of time and energy on designing and applying custom made colors.
We can supply the oak floorboards in 90 different colors. The floors are all oiled. The 100% sustainable oil is made according to traditional recipes and protects the wood from external influences. Because the wood type, dimensions and color are chosen individually by our customers, we can create a unique floor for every place and every taste.
MAINTENANCE OF WOOD PLANK FLOORS
Floorboards are oiled with completely natural oil and are protected against common external influences such as water, coffee, wine and beer. You can basically swipe the floors every day, but this is not necessary. Plank floors are supplied with their own soap that keeps the floor in top condition.
In addition, we recommend regularly cleaning the wooden floors by vacuuming and / or by mopping the floor. In the free maintenance kit you will find means to keep the floors in top condition. Good floor maintenance prolongs the service life and protects the finishes of your floorboards.
