Wooden floors in all colors

Are you looking for a color floor that perfectly matches your interior? In our showrooms we can present you with a wide variety of color samples. Outside of this selection, it is possible to mix colors as desired so that they match exactly with your preference.

Oil

Uipkes Wood Flooring uses linseed-based oil. Some properties of this oil are:

  • Royl oil is made from 100% natural raw materials (linseed and wood oil).
  • It is easy to apply, even for the DIY enthusiast.
  • Provides good protection (water and stain resistant).
  • Durable and easy to repair.
  • Easy to maintain.

'It is possible to mix colors as desired so that they match exactly with your preference.' For example, using a color pigment it is possible to 'color' an oak floor. The floor has a warm and natural appearance and does not shine. An oil-treated floor can be installed floating or glued. The floor can be updated locally.

Lacquer

When painting the floor, three layers of lacquer are applied. Lacquer has the following properties:

  • Water-based, so low-odor and safe.
  • Matte appearance under every viewing angle.
  • High wear resistance.
  • Durably elastic.
  • Permanently crystal clear.
  • Easy to process.
  • Quick drying.
  • No color variations possible

A floor treated with lacquer must always be glued. With tropical hardwoods, a layer of lacquer gives a natural effect.

Every floor, regardless of the wood specie , must be finished. If there is no protective layer, the wood will become contaminated and affected by liquids. Cleaning untreated wood is also practically impossible. It is possible to have your floor ready-treated in the factory. This makes installing it yourself a lot easier.

If you decide to have the floor installed, it can also save time because the parquet installer no longer has to sand and oil on site. A floor that has been oiled on site still requires 48 hours of drying time. We are happy to show you the differences in our showroom so that you can make an informed choice.

Hard wax

Hardwax is a mixture of natural wax and oil that forms a protective layer over the wood, while at the same time accentuating the color and texture of the floor. It is durable and can last for years without needing reapplication.

Hardwax must be applied in several layers. Hardwax has the following properties:

  • Multiple gloss variations available.
  • Still has a few layers of drying time
  • Must be applied in several layers
  • Cannot be touched up locally with a color
  • Wear visible, because the hard wax layer is on the wood and it is 'bare'
  • Application requires skill and experience for even distribution
  • Higher costs because multiple layers need to be applied.
  • Limited in color variations

A floor treated with hard wax must always be glued. With tropical hardwoods, a hard wax layer gives a natural effect.

Every floor, regardless of the wood specie , must be finished. If there is no protective layer, the wood will become contaminated and affected by liquids. Cleaning untreated wood is also practically impossible. It is possible to have your floor ready-treated in the factory. This makes installing it yourself a lot easier.

Used to be

A waxed wooden floor is often an impregnation layer with a wax layer on top. It provides a natural look and gives the floor a nice shine. Wax has the following properties:

  • Application is a labor-intensive process
  • Gives a nice shine
  • Floors treated with wax discolour quickly
  • The floor must be regularly re-treated with wax
  • Wear is quickly visible
  • Wax is very sensitive to (water) stains

Every floor, regardless of the wood specie , must be finished. If there is no protective layer, the wood will become contaminated and affected by liquids. Cleaning untreated wood is also practically impossible. It is possible to have your floor ready-treated in the factory. This makes installing it yourself a lot easier.
